In loving memory of Aran who sadly passed away on 24th October
Aran’s death has been a tremendous shock. Planning his funeral is not what we as a family expected to be doing. The love and support shown by everyone who knew Aran means so much, we thank you all.
Aran loved life, family and friendship. He was so active in all that he did, it goes without saying that many people wish to attend his funeral.
As a family we are trying to plan as best as we can to celebrate Aran, whilst also taking care of ourselves as we face this terrible shock and trauma.
So we will be doing things a little differently. A private cremation for Aran will be attended by his immediate family. That same day, we will hold a Celebration of Aran’s life at a beautiful location – details are below.
It has been a challenge to find a venue with large enough capacity. We think Aran would approve of where we have chosen , but we are strictly limited to 200 people as per their fire regulations.
Because of this we will also be providing a live stream of the service, which will enable people to join the service from wherever you are, which you can access below.

THE SERVICE
A celebration of Aran’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday 23rd November at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park
Pembroke Lodge is set within the stunning Richmond Park in South West London. The Belvedere is a private room on the ground floor of the Georgian Wing with an open terrace and panoramic views.
Directions are provided below. There is ample parking and it is easy to catch a taxi from Richmond Station.
Formal funeral attire is not necessary.

HOW TO GET THERE

Directions:
Pembroke Lodge is inside Richmond Park, close to the Richmond gate entrance. There is plenty of free parking. The Park is closed to traffic at dusk (approx from 4pm) so entry and exit thereafter is via Richmond Gate only, which is manned by Pembroke Lodge staff. Due to the deer and other wildlife, please take extreme care whilst driving in the park.
The Belvedere is on the ground floor of the Georgian Wing. Access for all, including the disabled, is on the right side of the main building.
Train / Taxi: Both SW trains and the District Line go to Richmond Station. Taxis are plentiful outside; it is a 10 minute drive from the station to Richmond Park – just ask to be dropped off at Pembroke Lodge.
Toilets: Are signposted and situated between the café and The Belvedere.
