As I write this I feel choked up. Barbara or Chanda as we sometimes called her was a ray of sunshine in my life. We started as neighbours but grew like sisters. She was an auntie to my children and a big sister to me and my husband. She bought people together, laughed and loved. She has left a hole that can’t be filled. I feel blessed that this angel was in my life. I will miss her forever and the time we were together was the best. My builder buddy with her endless jokes and that laugh. A soundboard for anything and everything. Love you always Barbara. X x

It’s hard to put into words how I feel as I write this tribute to my aunt. I called her Chanda maso. I will always remember her never-ending smile, her cheerful and loving ways of going above and beyond. I’m so blessed and grateful that she was my aunt. May God keep you safe in heaven until we’re reunited in His name.🤍

So glad I met you and had the opportunity to work with you BB. I can’t believe I’m having to write a tribute rather than a text.
How will I remember you?
Always a big smile and laugh to cheer me up, helping each other get through the recent lockdowns on work teams calls, the “singing” and dancing and of course the kindness. BB you will be missed so very much!

I had developed a beautiful friendship with Barbara from the first day i met her. I still remember it today as I’ll remember all the other unforgettable times we had. There was always so much fun, and so much laughter. Even after not having seen her for a while, when we met it was always like old times, like we’d never been apart. The friendship was always there, never changed a bit despite the distance or time. I was one of the lucky ones to have known this lovely person. I love you Chanda x

I don’t even know where to start. I met Barbara at my previous job. I used to love watching her enjoying a cup of tea and chatting to me. She was so passionate about everything. When she resigned her job she came to celebrate at the restaurant where I used to work and we had so much fun. The news of her passing struck me really hard and although we weren’t as close as all the people here were, I will greatly miss her. She was making my day with her big, big smile.

It is hard to believe that we saw Barbara just eight weeks ago today when she joined us at Doug’s funeral. She was her usual beautiful sparkling self, with that smile that could light up any room.
So many members of our family loved working with Barbara during the years that she worked with us at Arnold’s Leisure, she always bought joy and fun to those days.
We are so incredibly sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you all.
Love,
Sandra & the McLaren family xx

Barbara was my friend… very best friend I would say sister. Like she was always saying she was my older sister, always carrying, telling me off exacly same like family… no prisoners, you’ll hear it doesn’t matter if you like it or not 🙂 . That was my pleasure to meet you Barbara. So happy that had this time with you sister. I’ll see you in the next life! I know that, see you soon! ❤️

Barbara was a such a nice, friendly and caring person. I am pleased to meet and work with Her and happy that we had so much fun together. She was a good friend who made everyone laugh with Her cheerful personality. I remember our long chats in pajamas during the lockdowns when we discussed how to make better docs and how to make the clients life easier. I am not saying goodbye since She is still around us and lives in our memories and hearts.
Agent B see you on the other side

It’s not often in life that you get to meet that person, who’s full of love, compassion & kindness. That was Barbara, only met this beautiful lady a few times but that was enough. I saw how happy her and Julian were, soulmates I think is the right phrase. I have known Julian all his life, so much so he calls me Auntie, first time I met Barbara she called me the same took me to one side and asked me if that was okay, can’t tell you how touched I felt. Bye beautiful, kind loving lady, be at peace. Heavens gain is our loss.(Never did get my Biriyani)
