Details of the memorial service to celebrate her remarkable life.
The memorial service will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Myland, Colchester, on Saturday 13 January 2024, at 2pm, followed by refreshments in the church hall.
Dress code: comfortable.
The Church and Myland Parish Halls are on Mile End Road, Colchester CO4 5DY.

By road
Approaching from the A12, take exit 27 and then at the first roundabout take the second left into Cymberline Way, A133. At the next roundabout, take the first left into Station Way, A134. At the third roundabout take the second left, toward North Station. At the fourth roundabout, take a left turn as if entering the station, but then immediately take the third left turn (after the station entrance and Bures Road, passed the traffic lights) and turn left into Mile End Road. The church is about a mile at the top of the hill, on the right.
To reach the church from the north, join Mill Road from the Via Urbis Romanae and turn left into Mile End Road, the church is on the left.
There is some parking outside of the church on Mile End Road, this is limited. There is other parking along Mile End Road and in Tall Trees.

Colchester North Railway Station is a 15-minute walk from the church. It has excellent links from London, as well as towns in Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk. There is a bus service from the station to outside the church. There is also a taxi rank at the station.
