In loving memory of Laura Gadsdon who died peacefully on 1st September.
FUNERAL SERVICE
Laura’s funeral service was held at 11am on Monday 14th September at GreenAcres Chilterns, followed by a reception at The Wharf in Teddington.
As capacity is limited both at GreenAcres and The Wharf due to the pandemic, we had to limit who we can invite. However, a video of the service is shared on this page and you are invited to provide a personal tribute below.
DONATIONS
In lieu of floral tributes we invite you to donate to our chosen charity Princess Alice Hospice because of the care Laura received during her time there. Click the button below to view the JustGiving page created in her memory.

My darling Laura – I still can’t believe I’m writing this.
I’ll never forget the first time we chatted online. We just clicked immediately. It was like we’d known each other forever.
At that time there was a group of us all in the same position yet we watched them pass. Together we grieved, we laughed and we cried becoming even more determined to do something to make a change.
From day 1 you were a supporter of Make 2nds Count. I still laugh when I think of the number of crazy fundraisers that you managed to rope your family and friends into! From your granny’s afternoon tea to coffee mornings, walking The Ullswater Way and evening completing a cycling challenge during lockdown! Nothing was ever too much trouble for you. You believed in us and we believed in you. You will always be part of our family.
I can’t find the words for how much I’ll miss having your smile and positivity in my life. Thank you for being an amazing friend.
Now it’s time to rest and be free from stress and pain. Sleep tight my darling girl – see you when I get there.
All my love

Lovely, Laura
I feel so lucky to have got to know you through our joint love of the Make 2nds Count charity. You were my fellow Patient Champion, and you were always lovely to me and supportive behind the scenes. Your generous spirit and smile will be so very much missed.
Much love to you,

Laura had so much more to give and it’s cruel she has been taken from all of us especially for her family and husband – sending my love and thoughts to you all from across the pond.
I feel honoured and lucky that my path crossed with Laura’s and we lived together in London where we had the most fun! and became very good friends. Laura was one very special women, so so so witty, down-to-earth, positive, fun, generous, clever, … her smile lit up any room and everyone was drawn to her energy and infectious sense of humour.
Her positive and beautiful spirit will be with me forever.
Love you Laura, thank you for your loyal friendship, you are an inspiration to all of us, and I’ll be forever missing you.

Knowing you, Laura, an inspirational young woman, so strong and eager to live. You have shown me a new meaning to living, an openess of spirit and an ability to laugh out loud even if I am on my own. You have been and always will be loved and cherished both by those of us who have known you and others who will learn about you.
