Hi, my name is Rudy, please accept my sincere Condolences of the sad passing of Patrick. Having worked with him in the past doing sales training, I would like to say that he was a great ORATOR , publicly or privately. He had the voice tone, the variation, enthusiasm, the love and the passion. He was able to read room very well. Apart from being a good singer, he was very
witty, an intelligent form of humour which you need when interacting with an audience. He probably was the last of the all-round entertainers who was able to sing, tell jokes and compere. Sri Lankas answere to the late Bruce Forsyth or Max Bygrave has been summoned from this sublunary abode. May he rest in eternal peace.
Kind regards
Rudy De Silva
May Patrick rest in peace

Sincere condolences to Norma, Rowena, Richard, Ellie, Elsie, Mabel and Nancie.
Patrick will be sadly missed by everyone. He was a character like no other.
Patrick has been in our lives since we moved to London in 1984. He attended our wedding in Ireland in 1986 with Norma, Richard and Rowena. He was there to see our children as babies both in the hospital and at home. He was with us in the very best of happy times and occasions, most recently at Aisling’s 21st birthday celebration back in July, as well at the hardest and most traumatic of times. He was always there to be called whenever there was a crisis and was always a great help – always able to offer a positive outlook and put a different spin on things. We always enjoyed having him around whenever he would knock on the door whatever time of day or night. We will miss him very much. I’m sure he and Daire are together now having some debate over something.
Rest in Peace Patrick.
May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
With love from Mary, Catherine, Evelyn and Aisling as well as all the O’Gallachoir and Boyle families
Dearest Norma, Richard and Rowena
So sad the passing away of my dear friend Patrick whom I have known from our teenage years in Sri Lanka.
I remember fondly his musical talents and his classic humour and his great zest for life.
Probably his last performance was as MC at my daughter’s wedding in August where he sang 4 songs.
He would love that we are celebrating his life with music, family and all his friends.
Patrick rest in peace , you are forever in our hearts.
Patrick’s famous saying was :-
“ Nava Gilunath Band Chun “
( Music carries on even as the ship goes down)
With fondest love

Sincerest condolences to you and your loved ones at this heart breaking time. Patrick was was a man like no other and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
I’m sure over the coming weeks you’ll hear hundreds of stories and tributes from people you may not even know, a testament to the number of lives Patrick touched with his character and passion. He was a huge presence during my childhood and a real friend to my parents, often the first they would call if they needed help.
I have such memories of your Dad sat on our sofa, at all hours of the day and night, asking to be given a guitar so he could sit and sing for hours at a time. In fact when Mum went into labour with Aisling, that was the exact scene in our living room. I remember also being taken to various events where Patrick was acting as MC, watching him perform on stage where he seemed most comfortable, and listening to countless stories of beautiful Sri Lanka. My last visit before Christmas, Patrick was showing me footage of the last family trip to Sri Lanka within minutes of me entering the house, and was convincing Paul and I it had to be our next holiday destination.
Patrick had a special relationship with my Dad, their ability to both rile each other up and calm each other down was unmatchable, and the sound of their debates has been sorely missed in our house. I take great comfort thinking of them together now.
Sending all our love and strength to you, and remembering Patrick with fond hearts.
Eternal rest grant unto him, o Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Hi Norma:
It was a pleasure having you and Patrick at our place in California. As you know well, we were childhood friends, and all through our college education at St. Joseph’s College. I knew his mom and his entire family. We met several times a week doing all the fun things teenagers do, including of course the pursuit of beautiful women.
He did ask me to edit some opening chapters on a book he was planning to write on Covid. He never got to complete it.
Patrick was the prototype of a self-made man. He had a natural gift for summarizing an experience in a sentence or two. His laughter and jokes were infectious. Most of all, he loved you, Norma and his son and daughter. He would regale us with encounters he experienced on several cruise trips he had taken.
He never lost the center of man’s eternal destination.
Will remember him in my daily prayers.
Requiescat In Pace
Best,
