TRIBUTES
Dear Terry.
Thank You for being You.
So many wonderful, special memories you brought to so many.
Drumming, time keeping on your bell….from Adagio, to Allegro…..to ALEGRISSIMO…..
Wiring my pottery. Thankyou for all your interest & encouragement.
Checking my house in the years I was away.
Then the wonderful visits to Cornwall with Jane.
Freshly caught mackerel for supper, moody skies as we climbed the Cheesewring, kayaking from Millendreath with my brother, laughing on my back doorstep with my other brother,Coddyshack fish & chips at your campsite, visits which kept me going as I hacked plaster off my walls, my first HUG since the start of covid lockdown, cider at Duloe stone circle as the sun went down…..& many many more.
But Most of all.
Thankyou for being my friend

Not a tribute but a personal message to you Terry, I wanted to thank you for sharing time with me and bringing fun to the courses that we shared together. Terry you supported me and grounded me with your wisdom. I can’t be with you today to celebrate our time together and your life and that hurts but I can see you smiling at me and your eyes crinkling to say that’s ok. You better let me know what you want me to do with your NSPsy page, meanwhile my friend I will keep it going in memory of you, our time together and the happiness that you brought to my life. James

I can’t imagine a lovelier man than Terry. He was always so generous with his presence, joy and energy, I was very lucky to have had the privilege of knowing him and hope that I can honour his memory by carrying that spirit of generosity with me and passing it forward. My deepest condolences to Jane and the family x

When I was younger mum and I would visit Auntie Sophie from time to time. I remember thinking that Terry was the coolest cousin, he had a motorbike which he would take me on much to Auntie Sophie’s dismay. He also had the best bedroom full of things that he had made or in the process of fixing, an Aladdin’s cave to a young boy. He always had time to show me the things he had made and encouraged me to try and make my own projects. All this lead me into wanting to be an engineer and gave me the knowledge I needed to achieve that.
I will miss Terry, he was one of the kindest people I know.

You are and will be forever missed and lost to the world and your family. My generous, unique and amazing thoughtful brother. Xx

My Mother called Terry “bodger’. As teenagers, we didn’t know if this was a compliment or not. He did, however, turn his hands to many things. Bass guitar, electrics, working on the railways and driving an erratic moped on the towpath at Richmond with me on the back – both of us three sheets to the wind (in those days it hardly mattered- we were only going to kill ourselves).
He was at one with the ladies and at two with cats.
A fixer-upper, a doer and a Frank Zappa fan.
Terry was a great mate between the ages of 19 and 29. Life changes. We kept in touch sporadically even though we don’t live so far apart. My memories of Terry are all good ones – of a time in our lives when we were carefree. When a career was somewhere off on the horizon (it never did materialise). We may have indulged. We rarely fell out. He, and two other mates turned up in suits for my 30th birthday. If I could have been there today I would have worn a suit just to spite him.
I won’t say ‘my thoughts are with you’ or ‘I’m sorry for your loss’. These are deflecting tactics, spoken by rote and mean nothing. I loved Terry as a friend and always will do so. Goodbye – and thanks for the good times.
My mum also called you feckless. Never did figure out what that meant. I think you did have feck.
See you on the other side.
Fecker.
