Bright, and an abundance of energy and grace is how we will always remember dear Val.
Thinking of Val & her much loved family at this so very sad time.

I will always remember Val as a person full of life as well as being a patient and encouraging manager as I learnt to work with the consultants attached to the NFER. She had boundless energy and enthusiasm for her job and was a dedicated and loyal member of the establishment. I will cherish the memories I have of working closely with her, and also the memories of the energy she put into her tap dancing! May you rest in peace always Val,

What a lovely lady ! We were neighbours for a comparatively short time, but Val will always be remembered for her generous spirit and ready smile, which will be missed. I feel blessed to have known her.

Val’s boundless energy and dedication in leading our unit at the National Foundation for Educational Research was accompanied by a sense of fun, kindness and a principled approach which made it a pleasure to work with her. She was an exceptional individual who benefitted many by her work in the field of education information management. Former colleagues have all conveyed similar sentiments on learning of her death. She will be fondly remembered.

79 years is a long time for a friendship to last but four of us, Gladys, Sheila, Tally and myself have maintained this close friendship in spite of geographical distances between us. Dearest Yall, you will always be in that special place in our hearts.
