The Fearnside Family
On behalf of myself and my family, We offer you our deepest sympathy’s on the passing of Jake.
I personally met Jake through Jeff when we worked together at ISC. My son Michael was about to undergo a serious kidney operation at St.Mary’s hospital, Paddington. Jake came to see me in Victoria to reassure me that he had the same operation and was fit and well. It was a great comfort to me at that time.
The second time was when Jeff delivered three hard to get playstation games for my two sons from Jake, who was working in the gaming industry. To say they were made up was an understatement.
Two wonderful acts of kindness
There are no words that can comfort you but always remember,
Out of sight is never out of mind.
Rest In Peace Jake.

You will be sorely missed by all who knew you. It’s been over 20 years since we first got to know each other as part of a football family but it feels like only yesterday. We should all aspire to meet our troubles with the grace, forbearance and humour that you did.
With much love
Mike, Olivia and Gus
Dear Jake,
I have fond memories of our time together as children. The most vivid one of all is playing in Jo and Rob’s swimming pool. I also remember many happy times with our Grandparents.
Peter was very pleased to have had the pleasure of meeting you at family occasions.
Rest in peace Xx
With love from Sarah and Peter Gill
From Tania……..
When we deal with our shit we rise above it,
You were dealt a lot of shit,
You rose above it, always……to the point it didn’t even exist, to others.
Those who rise above and deal with their hand in a graceful way are so special,
You were special.
I believe the true essence of special ones go somewhere good and true;
here AND ‘there’ (wherever THAT is)
Not in a religious way
In a spiritual way.
I know you’re mostly with the strong spiritual energies somewhere,
Somewhere good (a renovated chateau deep in the French countryside with an amazing fully stocked delicatessen a stroll away)……
The rest of it is in those you knew and spent time with still here.
Your memories will encourage them to rise above their shit too and their children and possibly even theirs………….
………..essence is not genetics or DNA, it’s the energy YOU created and passed on.
It’s who we truly are and in the connections we make with others. It’s what life is all about.
That’s what I think.
You entered mine and my daughter’s lives and left your essence.
Aurevoir for now.
My friend.
Tania
On behalf of myself and my family, we offer the Fearnside family our deepest condolences.
Although I never met Jake, I know Jeff was immensely proud of him.
May God bless you with peace and comfort in your toughest and saddest days.
Sympathies from Dsouza family xx
2 days stand out for me most old friend, the day you took me to Stamford Bridge October 1999, sat me in the Chelsea end (as a Utd fan) and we proceeded to get spanked 5-0.
I had to jump up and celebrate each of those goals as they went in, because I got seriously clocked when I didn’t for the 1st one, then you took me into to Chelsea pub afterwards and I had to sing the songs too, I’m smiling madly and a bit misty eyed as I type this, because it’s such a favourite memory of mine, combined with the one where you reciprocated and came into Richmond to watch Champions league final for the treble game. Football eh!
These stand out for me but are aside from the great time we had when you came to Oz, and aaallll that came before.
A great listener, and level head in crazy times but a dear friend most of all..
