We knew Kate through the girl’s football. We spent many happy hours on the touch line watching the ebb and flow of the play. She was a wonderful person – really funny with a great sense of humour as well as kind and insightful. One of a kind.

She wasn’t hoodwinked by platitudes and didn’t take the easy way out, instead thinking for herself and pinpointing nonsense with unerring clarity. Every conversation I had with her was refreshing, open and enriching. Thank you Kate for your values, backbone, warmth and broad mindedness. Words were always your thing Kate , your use of the English language was incredible,, your ability to talk about politics and bring spice to our nonsense was the wonderful way we spent our time laughing at all the life dilemmas !
Waitrose was our by chance meeting ground, chatting over the newest selection of Italian delicacies ! or a nice evening being spent in the local Greek taverna, talking so proudly of your beautiful family,
Dreaming of a life somewhere warm in the sun was always a keen topic ! Encouraging everyone to travel to nourish the soul at any given opportunity,
Kate you were the friend that was always there for everyone, offering support and love, laughing in adversity using the sprinkling of expletives to colour the sentences.
We love and miss you, our lives have a huge gap, who can we curse with now and laugh so loudly?,but we know the sun is shining brightly on you , we miss you .❤️

Kate and I met not long after she’d moved to Twickenham when I commented on her cool crocs! Our children are roughly the same age and we had lots in common. I’ll remember her kindness, huge sense of fun and relaxed, laid-back approach to life. She was a dear, lovely woman and I’m incredibly sad she’s gone.

Kate was fabulous company on the football touchline. Warm, cheerful and straight talking. It was a pleasure to get to know her there and I miss those very happy times of chatter and laughter. She was an absolute star when she and Rory took on providing tea and coffee to warm us up on many freezing winter mornings.

I was so impressed by her selfless commitment and compassion caring for elderly relatives as well as being an wonderful mother to Ella and her brothers. Kate’s early passing is a huge loss. Our heartful sympathies to her family and friends.

I didn’t know you that well Kate, but every time I came away from talking to you, I always thought “God, she’s cool!”. You were one of the funniest people I have ever met and one of the most giving. I first met Kate when our children were at St Mary’s together, then I briefly taught Ella and for a short time we worked together at St Mary’s. Kate had such a brilliantly dry sense of humour. She was warm, funny and intelligent. My thoughts and love are with her lovely family.
